where can you still buy multi packs of plasti-gauge

where can you still get the larger packages of PLASTI GAUGE strips , i use it as a cross check tool and I used to buy it in multi pack boxes, the local auto parts no longer carries the multi packs and wants to charge $6 a strip, that may not seem like much, but when you do use it frequently that adds up, it used to come in 10 strip boxes for a whole lot less than $6 a strip

use plasti-gauge across the whole bearing as you can have a tapered journal thats correct in one area but loose or tight else-ware

notice the bearing wears near the edge during the test fit indicating either the bearing is tapered or the bearing or main caps not seated correctly, in any case stop and find out whats causing the problem

failure to clean out the oil passages in the block and crank journal cross feed oil holes, resulted in trapped debris being flushed out and scoring the bearings during the test fit process in these bearings, an easily avoided but very common screw-up after a cam or bearing fails and your forced to do a ring, cam, lifter, and bearing replacement

well I bought a couple dozen packages worth, so I,m set for a while, and I know where to order more when its required, but I think they screw you on packing and shipping, they charged me $17 for a several dozen strips that would easily fit in one of those post office $4 envelopes and come on, a couple dozen strips weights less than 3 oz.

It ships from Goodson, but you purchase it thru Amazon for $29 shipped.
