Edelbrocks flooding

Edelbrocks flooding

Postby raj4851 » September 24th, 2016, 2:53 pm

HI Grumpy, I have a sbc 355, flat tops, 64cc heads, 248@.050, .525 lift Comp Cam, & a tunnel ram with 2 Edelbrock 500s. 4.10 rear end, 4 speed. The car runs great, except at 200 or 210 degrees it floods. When I pull the air cleaners there is vapor in the carbs, especially the rear one. The float levels are set right & the car just has about 1700 miles on it. A guy gave me some of the spring loaded needles. Am I on the right track? I have insulators under the carbs, CoolCarb, I think is the name of them. I've done everything I know to do. It would appear to be down to the needles. What do you think? Thanks in advance, Rod
