aftermarket intakes have a good deal of potential, but you need to maximize the engines air flow potential, and match components in your engine combo to the intended use, power range and rpm band.
you can,t do that with an intake swap alone.
The heads must flow the same as the intake and the cam lift and duration must allow the ports to flow at their full potential, that requires about a 235-240 duration and lift close to .580, or more, a cam with that duration will require a 9.7:1-10:1 cpr to maintain good mid rpm torque and yet not get into detonation issues
the THREE most popular high flow intakes are currently, the TPIS MINIRAM,(basically a LT4 CLONE) the ACCEL SUPER RAM,(BASICALLY AN IMPROVED TPI with larger PLENUM) and the HOLLEY STEALTH RAM (BASICALLY AN EFI TUNNELRAM /THROTTLE BODY CONVERSION)
(WHICH IN STOCK FORM WON,T CLEAR THE CORVETTE HOOD)
the key is matching the flow rates and rpm range of all components to maximize each component in the same intended power band, its hardly a mystery at this point in the game, so heres a closely matched list.
youve got to maximize all the rest of the combo to match the intakes intended rpm and power band.
since you've already got the super-ram,stick with it, its basically designed to work in the 3500rpm-6500rom band so thats where you gear the car and concentrate matching components.
the other two intakes have slightly higher power bands
but get the intake you've selected extrude honed,

you might want to read thru this, the short version, is the hood clears enough to close the hood but the hood on a c4 corvette contacts the intake, when the engine moves and it produces about 15 more hp than the super ram peak numbers but moved the torque curve 500rpm higher and lost 13 ft lbs of torque at lower rpms

grumpy will the Pro flo xt intake fit on my 90 L98. I was reading edelbrock web page, they says that will fit on 1986 heads and earlier.
I readed the vetteweb article, but the heads they use aren't stock heads.
can you help me bro?

the newer head bolt pattern is not an exact match, to some of the intakes but it is to others youll need to order the correct intake
