after working on several cars, in the past, that were not that bad ,and doing body restorations,
I can assure you hes got plenty of work still ahead of him but he seems to have far above average skills and patients, so , hes well on his way, theres very few times that a determined craftsman with a decent welder and some metal fabrication tools won,t be able to repair a car body, but it does take some persistence and skill a basic knowledge of auto construction techniques, and fabrication and welding skill, and it sure helps if you can order replacement panels or have a donor car to cannibalize.
obviously buying a donor car to strip panels from from a salvage yard or a source of replacement panels is a huge advantage, one reason I like corvettes is that working in SMC or fiberglass has some advantages and those materials don,t rust (but they do burn and shatter at times)
if you know a good source for classic muscle car or corvette body or interior restoration parts PLEASE POST LINKS AND COMMENTS about your experiences

auto body sheet metal repair is where those little QUALITY 110 volt/140 amp mig welders work rather well,
